My heart is so full of poignancy, it brims out in tears. So it is good to be Home, to be with Joe, my utterly dear and strong companion. Our home is all in hues of sage green, with a kind of velvety pale feel and dark warm wood, that makes your hand reach out to run over the smoothness. There is a tiny magical wooden tree on the mantle, and a huge red candle with fairy like carvings in the side that Joe got for me as a housewarming gift.
And tonight we walked, or rather strolled down the little streets with yards full of English garden style flowers, and trees in bloom, and two dads we passed had their tiny tow headed sons out with them 'helping' with the yard work, and
my heart sort of lurched. And then we came down the hill to the RIver, which was glittery and warm in the fading daylight, and the park was scattered with people and dogs and laughing. And my heart warmed to it and reached out to it, and puttering home up the hill. I felt a growing sense of belonging here, in this place and in this time.
There is so much rightness about this place. (sigh).
