daily livin
It was so sunny today, so cerulean blue. It makes such a real difference, with the clearness making me more cheery. And I sipped my coffee with coconut creamer, and delicious-nessed down a Innkeeper brand english muffin. Oh my goodness they are so yummy. Very plump raisins, and not the terrible fork-split kind,( Thomas brand...agh i hate how they DON"T splint). I have been slathering on peanut butter and strawberry preserves. and I have starting taking a new way in the hospital, a sort of back way that feels so much faster, although i am not sure it is. and i like knowing a back way, it makes me feel part of the city. and what a dear city Portland is, especially at night. as we drove across the bridge to get to small group tonight, the lights always look so magical. the neon Made In Oregon sign with the deer is so essential, I feel sick at the thought that it might change or go away. and i realized as we crossed the bridge coming home, OHSU looked sort of magical way up on the hill, with the skybridges and the Children's hospital. the best is getting to know our local upscale grocery store cashiers, who seem so happy working at the most expensive but oh so beautiful grocery store ever. they kind of nod now, like they recognize us, and I know the one who does crack a smile at my inane conversation, and the one who doesn't. oh I just like feeling a part of this city.

hopefully spending a little more time in oregon will cause the grouchy clerk to crack a smile one day! wishing i could have a cup of coconut coffee with you this morning - especially since i'm on day 2 of a zpac and i'm already weary of earl gray tea!
sunny days really do make all the difference. oh, and don't curse thomas brand english muffins until you've tried the cranberry ones. fork-split or not they make for such a crisp, delicious breakfast.
oh man this post is so It. the good glug of realizing you feel so many spidery roots into the soil, the way plants looks when you put them into the ground and you are like: wow, this one is really gonna grow well here.
by the by, your innkeeper muffins have clearly soared you to elitist heights of muffinry...hee hee.
oh the rumi poem....oh my. goodness.
