calm adventure

i crave cathedral ceilings and windy motorcycle rides. i am needing both wild adventure and peaceable calm. aren't there some moments you feel you could just drink down draughts of something huge and blue-skyed? that your lungs might prefer not air, but cumulus clouds and cornflower blue expanse. that instead of chair or bed, your body could form a seat happily on old leather motorcycle seat down in south america-land.

i pray for Deeps to enter my spirit, to softly pat my hair till I sleep and wake again renewed. i pray that kindness weaves into my thoughts, and i turn all these strange hospitalized moments into a very real offering. Ah yes, lord Jesus, even this fluorescent bulb nights are yours. take my motorcycle heart.

oh cathedrals..i have not thought about them and their beautiful ceilings in some time. Oh the majestic beauty and the neat juxtaposition against motorcycle gritty wild exploring...mmmmm. me like and me ponder. really it is neat to think of offering even flourescent moments up to Jesus. that seems to catch every moment as sacred in his eyes.
