pirate ship o' glory

oh dear ones, it has been the most delicious birthday:
so many candles, warm caramelly brown ones and creamy white sugary smelling ones.
strawberry rhubarb crisp made with my new Kitchen Aid mixer. Oh i know, there aren't words. The smooth green perfection of the Kitchen Aid mixer is to die for.
Yesterday evening out of sister-wonderfulness, to a twinkly light patio with dinner, and then off to the most glowing ambience Irving Street Kitchen for carmelized pudding and chevre cheesecake with pistachio madelines. Oh Yes.
Today, sweet phone call messages from bestest friends, their voices so straight to my heart with friendship.
And to top it all off, today was an hour drive to Cannon Beach, at the foggy beautiful Oregon coast, to a tiny art gallery of the most fairytale snowy haired man who wears a top hat while painting in the gallery. and Joe bought me a painting I have been waiting for six months to have and hold. Picture as seen above.

oh Friends, you are a blessing. I feel so nurtured and cared for and gloried.
Rainbow Buccaneers is the apt title of the painting. Off we go, pirate ship friends!
