So in Love...

If you dance
if you've ever swept the hair from your neck,
let the pluck and moan of bouzouki strings
cause your bones to swoon with the waves
if you've ever been in love,
ever swallowed the breath of another
and tasted the sweet absence of time,
ever straddled the border of country or state
and imagined your body a breeze across line and space
where walls fall, where west meets east,
where sea brushes sky,
if you've ever heard a voice whose notes
kiss your mind like silk on naked skin,
whose prayer prompts you to lift your arms
and you know you can fly
with the angels, wing-and-wing,
then you know
the wind.

i would have thought you might have written this...except for the word bazouki. so i wonders who did write it. Absolutely gorgeous. and a wonderful shimmering of your life-Love with your Joe.
